Senators show generosity by sharing their talents with others. If you have basketball skills, perhaps you could take a younger player under your wing. If you enjoy cooking, make a dish or bake cookies for someone to brighten their day. After School Tutoring is offered Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. in Room 214.
The last day of After School Tutoring this month is Thursday, December 11th. Tutoring will resume on Monday, January 12th.

Hey readers! For December, we wanted to read something fun to match the holiday season! So, the SHS Book Club chose The Christmas Tree Farm by Laurie Gilmore. We will be discussing our latest read this Thursday, December 11, in Negele's room 312 until 4:30. We will also be decorating holiday bookmarks while we chat! GSA is hosting its annual holiday cookie decorating event Friday after school in Mrs. Eaton’s new room 356. Everyone is welcome.
Any students who qualify for exemptions must complete the exemption form, and get all signatures, and turn into the guidance office by 3:30 p.m. on Monday, December 15th. Late forms are not accepted. Forms for each grade level will be available in the guidance office on this Monday, December 8th.
Model UN will meet until 4:00 on Friday in Room 330.
The next Sky Club meeting today Wednesday 12/10 after school in the Peace Room. At Sky Club you will learn and practice mindfulness and self-care to help manage stress and emotions. All are welcome this Wednesday in the Peace Room.

The Lady Senator basketball team earned a hard fought win by beating Bloomington 60 to 49. SHS was led in scoring by Morgan Leininger with 19 points, Aniyah Rhinehouse added 16 and Abby Malit chipped in 11. Next up for SHS is a 3:00 game on Saturday against Jacksonville at UIS.

The boys swim team started off the season with a 2nd place finish out of 12 teams at the Macomb Invite. The senators were lead by Oliver Havey with a 4th place finish in the 50 free and a 5th place finish in the 100 free, Riley Herr had a 6th place finish in the 100 free and a 2nd place finish in the 100 breaststroke, Luke Milliman had a 6th place finish in the 200 free, Alex Myers had a 3rd place finish in the 500 freestyle and a 2nd place in the 100 backstroke, Jake Tolsdorf took 5th in the 100 fly. Alex Myers, Kishan Ugrappa, Riley Herr and Oliver Havey teamed up to take 2nd overall in the 200 medley relay. Riley Herr, Luke Milliman, Jake Tolsdorf, and Kishan Ugrappa took 2nd in the 200 freestyle relay. Kishan Ugrappa, Alex Myers, Jake Tolsdorf and Alex Myers took 2nd in the 400 free relay. Next up for the boys is a meet tonight against Glenwood, O’Fallon and SHG.
The District 186 Girls Wrestling Co-op team won their duel with Jacksonville last Thursday Night. The following girls earned wins in the meet:
