Central Illinois Foodbank continues to work on a SNAP disruption response plan which includes working with the state and food partners to create greater access of food for our neighbors. The Foodbank is focusing on two main objectives:
Securing additional food for partners
Expanding hours of agencies to absorb the increased numbers of neighbors accessing food
Effective today, food will go to designated Supplemental Food Distribution Sites in Springfield. The location and hours of these sites are on the attached flyer – Kumler Outreach Ministries, Salvation Army - Citadel, Real Life Church, and Table of Life Ministries. Neighbors may access these locations once a week to secure food.
